GatherMiles is for adults who want to meet other travelers through small, public activities. Everyone should feel safe and welcome.
Community guidelines
By using GatherMiles you agree to:
- Travel first. GatherMiles is not for dating or hookups. No sexual solicitation, swiping or romantic pressure.
- Be respectful. No harassment, bullying, threats, hate, or discrimination.
- Be honest. Use your real identity as a person. No fake profiles, scams, spam, or unsolicited requests for money.
- Keep it legal. No illegal activities, and nothing that puts people in danger. Do not encourage excessive drinking.
- Protect privacy. Do not share other people’s personal details, private addresses or exact locations.
- Adults only. You must be 18 or older.
- Public places. Choose public meeting points. Private addresses are not allowed as meeting points.
Breaking these rules can lead to content removal, restrictions, or a closed account (see Terms).
Meeting safely
- Meet in a public, busy place, especially the first time.
- Tell a friend or family member where you are going, who with, and when you expect to be back.
- Use first names at the start, and keep conversations in the app until you know people.
- Arrange your own transport so you can leave when you want to.
- Trust your instincts. You can leave at any time, and you do not owe anyone an explanation.
- Do not send money to someone you have not met.
- Call local emergency services if you are in danger.
How GatherMiles protects your location
Your exact position is never shown to other members. Others see city or district names, never an exact distance or whether you are online. An activity shows a public area, and the exact meeting point is visible only to joined members when the host chooses to share it. See the Privacy Notice.
Blocking
On a member’s profile you can choose Block. When you block someone, you both disappear for each other: neither of you can find the other’s profile or see the other in People, and the person is not told. You can unblock in Settings, under Blocked accounts.
Reporting
On a member’s profile you can choose Report. Pick a reason (safety concern, harassment, fake profile, inappropriate content, spam or other), add details if you like, and you can block the person at the same time. We save a snapshot of the profile as evidence. The reported member is not told who reported them, and you will not be told what we decided.
Reporting currently covers member profiles. Photos of other members are not shown in the app yet; we will update this page before that changes. If you do not have the app, you can report a safety concern by email (see Contact below).
GatherMiles is not in the app stores yet, and our report review process will be in place before it is. Under this policy, serious reports, such as threats, harm to minors, or an offline incident, are treated first, and depending on what we find, we remove content, limit features, suspend or close accounts, and refer serious cases to the authorities.

Child safety standards
GatherMiles has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualised content involving minors, and any attempt to contact or meet minors.
- Adults only. Accounts require a date of birth that shows 18 or older; under-18 sign-ups are refused and cannot take part in activities, traveler discovery or conversations. If you think a member is under 18, report them in the app with the reason Safety concern. These reports are handled at the highest priority.
- Prohibited. Any content or behaviour that sexualises or endangers a child is banned in profiles, activities and, once launched, messages.
- Reporting. Use Report in the app and choose the reason that fits, or write to [email protected]. Our designated child-safety point of contact is the business owner, Suphi Atılım Çeliköz, who handles what is sent to this address.
- Action. Under this policy we remove the content, suspend the account, preserve evidence as the law allows, and report to the competent authorities as the law requires.
- Compliance. We aim to comply with applicable child-safety laws.
If you see a child at immediate risk, call local emergency services first.
