These terms apply when you use the GatherMiles app and this website. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Notice and Safety and community guidelines.
1. Who we are
GatherMiles is provided by Suphi Atılım Çeliköz, a sole proprietor (şahıs işletmesi) trading as SafeCargo Yazılım Teknoloji ve Danışmanlık Hizmetleri, Mehmet Akif Ersoy Mahallesi, Mimar Sinan Caddesi, Samyeli Konutları B Blok, Kapı No: 1, Çiftlikköy / Yalova, Türkiye (tax office: Yalova Vergi Dairesi, tax number 2410396271). 2. What GatherMiles is
GatherMiles helps travelers meet through small, public activities. It is not a dating or hookup service. We do not organise the activities, and members host them. We are not a party to arrangements between members.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or to use any part of GatherMiles, including activities, traveler discovery and, once they are available, trips and conversations. You give your date of birth when you create your account, and accounts for people under 18 are refused. There is no parental-consent option. If we find that you are under 18, we will close your account. You must give truthful information and keep one account for yourself.
4. Your account
You sign in with a 6-digit code sent to your email, so keep access to that mailbox safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.
5. Acceptable use
Follow the community guidelines. In short, you must not:
- harass, threaten, or discriminate against others, or spread hate;
- use GatherMiles for dating, hookups, or sexual solicitation;
- post sexual content, spam, scams, or ask others for money;
- break the law, or plan activities that are illegal or unsafe;
- impersonate someone, or create a fake profile;
- share a private address as a meeting point, or share another person’s information without consent;
- scrape the service, try to find other members’ exact locations, bypass limits or security, or misuse the app in any other technical way.
6. Your content
You keep the rights to what you post (profile text, activity descriptions, your photo). You give us a limited licence to host, display and process it so we can run the service for you and other members, and you promise that you have the right to post it. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.
7. Moderation and enforcement
Members can report profiles and block others. We may review reports and content, hide or remove content, limit features, suspend or close accounts, and refer serious cases to the authorities. Where required, we will tell you why we acted. If you disagree with a decision, write to [email protected] and we will review it. We may keep the evidence needed for safety and legal claims, as described in the Privacy Notice.
8. Meeting people
Activities happen offline between people who may not know each other. You decide whether to attend. Use judgement and the safety tips on our Safety page. We do not run background checks and cannot guarantee any member’s identity or behaviour.
9. Availability, changes and paid features
Features can change, be limited, or be unavailable, and some screens may show examples or “coming soon”. We may change or stop parts of the service, and we will try to give notice of important changes. No paid features are offered today. If we ever offer paid features, they will have their own terms, shown to you before purchase.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory consumer rights.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, Delete account) or through the deletion page. We can suspend or close your account for breaking these terms, for safety reasons or if the law requires it. Some safety records may remain as described in the Privacy Notice.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will ask you to accept the new version in the app or notify you in another suitable way. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices (icra daireleri) of Yalova have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules: where the law requires it, consumers may apply to the consumer arbitration committees (tüketici hakem heyetleri) or the consumer courts (tüketici mahkemeleri).
